WinVocab

WinVocab™ is a digital product that delivers a daily vocabulary word and mini lesson plan for each day of the school year (180 total words per grade). Users can select the word to teach on a given day from a comprehensive list or choose to teach the random word of the day. Individual users have access to all content, K through 5.

The WinVocab™ words are research-based and chosen to reflect Tier 2 and Tier 3 vocabulary words. Teachers can also add custom words to their lesson plans. Adding custom words provides a great opportunity for cross-curricular learning.

The vocabulary lessons contain:

• Definitions
• Parts of speech
• Synonyms
• Antonyms
• Sentences
• Activities

The lessons provide several activity options for each word. The teacher can choose among the options for each word by using a drop-down menu. Explicit instructions on how to teach each activity are included. The content is best suited for displaying on a smart board and can be printed out as well.
